I never thought...
"Won't happen to me!
I have been diving in Cozumel for more than 30 years. The more dives I made (more than 500), the more confident I became. Coming from the shore on the north side of the island, I secured my Spare Air for the first time and started the long swim to the area where I saw numerous Eagle Rays. I came to the ledge and started waiting for the Eagle Rays.
As soon as I fell within 0.5 metres of the bottom, I was swept over the edge by a downward draft current I have never experienced. It was as if I had fallen into a waterfall. I was swept over the edge and sucked to 61 metres before I knew what was happening. I immediately inflated my BC to slow down my decency, but nothing helped. I had no time to dump my weights as everything happened in a split second.
I fought to reach for the wall because I knew I had to stop my decency or I would be dead. At that moment, I quickly checked my air. 100 PSI.
I started clawing my way against the wall. The current was so strong that it pulled my mask off my face. I took a deep breath and felt that awful feeling when you know you have little or no air left. I knew I probably had almost zero air. I was right. I grabbed my Spare Air and took my first breath at 37 metres down. My last breath was at 18 metres. I pulled up the wall and kicked for my life. I came to the surface and took a deep breath.
I swam to the shore and drove myself to the Hyperbolic Chamber. I was lucky. No DCS. No symptoms at all. My dive computer had a depth of 62.5 metres.
Thanks Spare Air!"

"I wish I could tell people who never think it could happen to them, that it is very possible. I wish more people could see that Spare Air gives them the extra air they need to get back on their feet and that their octopus doesn't do that for them. I know some people say it costs more than other products, but I ask what is your life worth? I don't like to think about what might happen to me if I didn't wear my Spare Air. I don't know if I would still be walking around in good health. All I can say is that I don't dive without it! "

"Dive with a buddy, check your SPG, use an alternative air source, surface with 500 psi of air in your tank. These are the basics. No matter how experienced we become or how many dives we make, these rules remain constant. Recently, while diving and having the time of my life, I, yes I, had an experience without air. If I never have to use my Spare Air again, I will be quite satisfied, but I will definitely continue to wear it during all my dives. It is this instructor's opinion that there is simply no better, more compact, user-friendly, easier to carry, alternative air system available to recreational divers. Thank you Spare Air."

"I always said it could never happen to me. Well, one day it did. I ran out of air at 23 metres. It was the second dive of the day, during the surface interval I was changing tanks. My biggest mistake was that I never looked at the gauge. To my surprise, the second tank was never fully filled; it only had about 1,000 psi. Thank God I was carrying my Spare Air. I just put it in my mouth and started breathing. At that moment, I realised how precious air is. Thank you for your ingenious product. I know it saved me from injury or maybe death. Now I won't jump without it!"
